Don Sutton is traded to New Britain!

This trade happened very fast when both owners entered Doubleday Headquarters to work out a deal. With this deal New Britain gets a future ACE along with a solid Relief Pitcher while giving up Brush which will serve very well in Cleveland along with Fred Cooke providing solid pitching depth to a team that needs it.

Today we seen three trades involving the Montreal Shamrocks. The first deal was between them and the San Francisco Seals.

This deal sends Montreal a very defensively sound Shortstop with some major power for a Prospect that can blast LH Pitching and about 25-30 home runs a year.

The next deal was a shock even to the Montreal Owner when the Chicago Whales accepted their initial offer that included:

Changing of the Guard

This World Series will mark an actual change in scenery in Doubleday, rather than seeing Seattle or Kansas City involved or winning the Series we finally see a team that have NEVER been there facing a team that hasn't been to the Series since Season 10. Vancouver vs. Pittsburgh looks to be a very even series that sports two similar offenses. Pittsburgh does have pitching advantage but I don't see that being the factor that wins this series. Vancouver has two true power identities on offense with Charlie Beirne and Roy Sparks meanwhile Pittsburgh's offensive unit is not as powerful  however they do have Quilvio Javier, a very consistent hitter and one of the greatest in Doubleday History along with one of the best closers currently pitching in the world in Charlie Bergman.
